SNL FINANCIAL AND CHARLOTTESVILLE RUNNING COMPANY WRAP UP SUCCESSFUL SHOE DRIVE BENEFITTING SOLES4SOULS ™ Inc.

Result: More than 1,100 pairs of shoes and $5,000 donated

Charlottesville, Va. (July 6, 2009) – The totals are in: SNL Financial and Charlottesville Running Company received more than 1,100 pairs of shoes as part of a month-long drive to benefit Soles4Souls Inc., a non-profit organization with a mission to impact as many lives as possible with the gift of shoes. To top off the overwhelming success of the shoe drive, the SNL Cares Foundation will contribute $5,000 to Soles4Souls.

The shoes will be shipped to Soles4Souls’ distribution facility in Alabama, where they will be refurbished and shipped across the U.S. and around the world to people in need.

"The response we received from the local Charlottesville community was astounding! To see all of the donated shoes together demonstrates the impact each of us can make through simple actions like cleaning out our closets," said Francesca Conte of Charlottesville Running Company.

Jody Knowles, spokesperson for SNL Financial's Activities Committee added, "SNL employees and their families really stepped up to the plate, bringing in more than 600 pairs of shoes and helping to spread the word about the drive. The call to action even reached our offices in New York, Arlington, Boston, Monterey and London, as well as employees working from home offices across the country. The added contribution of $5,000 from the SNL Cares Foundation was the finishing touch on what was truly a collaborative effort."
